I’ve helped a number of friends and family members throughout the years get healthy. One of my favourite and go-to healthy snacks that I love and recommend is almond butter! I often get asked though about what to eat with almond butter.

The good news is that there is no shortage of ways to eat almond butter! At the bare minimum, you can replace it for any dish you would eat peanut butter with. See the list below for some suggestions:

What To Eat With Almond Butter – 10 Ideas

  • Almond butter in your smoothies – there are no shortage of options here
    • A quick recipe – handful spinach, 1 cup of (dairy-free) milk, 1 spoon of almond butter, 1 apple & 1 tbsp maple syrup

  • Almond butter with your cereal – add to your hot or cold cereal
    • Hot or cold oatmeal with some fruit & almond butter is a delicious breakfast –

    • Add almond butter with your packaged cereal for some added nutrition
    • Add almond butter with some fruits & milk to make your own cereal
  • Almond butter with vegetables – use almond butter with carrots, celery, etc.
    • Remember aunts on a log? Use almond butter instead. Spread some almond butter on to your celery and add some raisins.
    • Dip your carrots into some almond butter for a quick healthy snack.
  • Almond butter with fruits – spread almond butter on apples, pear, bananas, etc.
    • Cut an apple in half, core it and spread some almond butter for a healthy nutritious snack
    • Dip your banana in almond butter for some added protein and delicious taste
    • Dip your dried fruits (i.e. apricots, prunes, mangos, etc.) in almond butter for a sweet snack/dessert
  • Almond butter with some type of “bread” – spread on toast, muffins, pancakes, waffles, bagels, rice cakes etc.
    • Use almond butter instead of peanut butter and make it an almond butter sandwich
    • Make an almond butter and banana toast/sandwich
    • Spread some almond butter with some honey on toast/rice cake for a delicious treat
  • Almond butter in savoury/tangy dishes – almond butter, because it can replaced peanut butter, works great in thai dishes

  • Almond butter in dips & sauces – use almond butter for a nutty and creamy dips and sauces.
  • Almond butter as dessert – just like peanut butter, almond butter can be an instant dessert
  • Almond butter in baked goods – almond butter, because of it’s creamy and binding texture, works great in baked goods
  • Almond butter by the spoonful – this is how I regularly have almond butter. 🙂
